LAN 2026

for months i wasn't sure whether i should go.
i had never been to a lan before and i spent far too much time imagining everything that could go wrong.

i'm glad i was wrong.

within an hour i realised how unnecessary all of that worrying had been. everyone was so welcoming, conversations happened naturally and i immediately felt comfortable.

looking back now, it feels strange that i ever worried about going.

i almost didn't bring my camera os/heademty

i wasn't sure whether anyone would care, that i brought a camera, let alone enjoy the photographs afterwards.

looking back, i wish i photographed more people.
i assumed most wouldn't want their picture taken, so i focused more on the atmosphere instead.

next time, i'll be sure to ask...

i even bought the event poster because i liked the artwork.

but.

i left with something much more valuable.

...

everyone

i met

had

signed it.

every signature reminds me of a conversation, a laugh or a moment from that weekend.

if it hadn't been for a little encouragement from friends, i probably wouldn't have come at all.

sometimes the things we spend the longest worrying about become the memories we're happiest we made.
